Eight in 10 firms plan hiring in second half of year as long-tail recruitment spreads
A survey found 78.7 percent of companies plan to hire in the second half of 2026, with 61.2 percent seeking partial staffing by department or job and 17.6 percent hiring companywide. Most plan small recruitment of 10 or fewer people, while hiring budgets are also shrinking, with 74.3 percent planning less than 3 million won. Year-round hiring is most common, and the share using AI in recruitment has increased.
