Hecto Group holds 10th blood donation campaign, donates 10,000 won per certificate

Hecto Group marked its 10th employee blood donation campaign by setting aside 10,000 won for each donated blood donation certificate to support treatment costs for children with cancer. The company held the 10th “HECTO&” campaign from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1. HECTO& is the group’s social contribution programme. It said it will donate the full amount accumulated through the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

KAWPI to discuss national strategy direction for \'post-sovereign AI\'

The Korea Association of World Politics and Information (KAWPI) will hold its third Global Digital Forum on Sept. 8 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, focusing on “post-sovereign AI” and the future direction of South Korea’s national AI strategy. Co-organised with the Center for Future Warfare Studies, the forum will review AI use in the private and public sectors amid the spread of generative and agent AI. It will also examine the status and challenges of “sovereign AI 2.0.”

Hecto Group joins state project to develop AI medical devices for early lung cancer detection

Hecto Group is developing AI medical devices to help detect lung cancer early and predict recurrence through a state-backed digital healthcare project. Its HAI unit joined the OnKoTECT consortium led by Seoul National University Bundang Hospital under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy\'s Bio Industry Technology Development programme. The consortium will receive 15.5 billion won in research funding through December 2030 to develop and commercialise AI for early diagnosis and recurrence prediction of pancreatic and lung cancers.
