Naver management and labor reach tentative 5.3 percent pay rise deal, contrasting with Kakao
Naver has wrapped up wage talks early with its labor union as a labor dispute at Kakao drags on. The Naver unit of the Korean Federation of Chemical, Textile and Food Industry Trade Unions said Naver management and labor tentatively agreed to raise wages by 5.3 percent this year. Kakao’s wage agreement collapsed over differences on the detailed structure of compensation programs, including performance pay, and its union has sought mediation.
