Starknet releases report on recent network outage due to layer mismatch
Starknet released a post-incident report after its second network outage in 2025, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 10. The report said a mismatch between the block execution layer and the transaction validation layer caused the mainnet downtime. The validation layer detected errors, preventing incorrect transactions from being written to the ledger, and network activity was rolled back for 18 minutes. Starknet plans to strengthen testing and code audits.
