Goldman Sachs reshuffles crypto ETFs, keeps bitcoin and exits XRP and Solana

Goldman Sachs sold all of its holdings in XRP and Solana spot exchange-traded funds in the first quarter, according to a quarterly 13F filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. XRP spot ETF holdings fell from about $152.2 million at end-previous quarter to zero, and six Solana-related products were fully sold. It also cut bitcoin and ethereum spot ETF positions, while adding a staking-focused ethereum trust.

Venture investor a16z Crypto said passage of the U.S. CLARITY Act could have positive ripple effects beyond the cryptocurrency industry, potentially supporting innovation across the country and influencing global markets. It pointed to the GENIUS Act, passed in July 2025, as an example of how reducing regulatory uncertainty can boost adoption and affect payments and financial infrastructure. Grayscale said prospects look strong but bipartisan support is needed to clear the Senate.

Italy\'s Intesa Sanpaolo cuts SOL, adds ETH and XRP in crypto rebalancing

Italy\'s largest bank Intesa Sanpaolo more than doubled its cryptocurrency-related holdings in the first quarter. Its crypto exposure rose to about $235 million as of March 31 from about $100 million at the end of 2025. The bank increased holdings of spot bitcoin ETFs, added ether and XRP via trust products, and sharply reduced a Solana staking ETF position. It also began derivatives trading with a new call option position tied to a bitcoin trust.
