Bitget launches Scan to Pay in emerging markets to expand stablecoin payments
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has launched a USDT-based QR payment feature, Scan to Pay, targeting emerging markets. The service will be offered first in some markets in Southeast Asia and Latin America and can process payments by linking to existing local payment networks without changing merchant systems. Users set a payment password and scan a merchant QR code. Bitget says the feature reflects a shift toward real-world crypto payments and highlights demand for accessible financial tools.
