SKT to bet on agentic AI with \'All People\'s AI\', taking over daily tasks
SK Telecom has been selected as an operator for the government-backed \'All People\'s AI\' service and plans to launch a beta in October for an agentic AI offering built around its proprietary foundation model, A.X K2. The service will provide personalised guidance using public and daily-life information and connect users to follow-up actions, including issuing 83 types of certificates via Government24 and PASS. It also plans healthcare links, phone- and text-based access, and a 31-member ecosystem.

KB Kookmin Bank\'s KB Kookmin Certificate users top 18 million
KB Kookmin Bank said cumulative users of its private authentication certificate, KB Kookmin Certificate, have surpassed 18 million. The bank said the user base has expanded since the certificate was recognised as an electronic signature certification service provider in 2021. Users rose by 1 million in a year, after topping 17 million in August last year. The certificate can be issued without visiting a branch and is used for authentication, e-signatures and identity verification.

PIPC fines Interior Ministry, Rural Development Administration over personal data leaks
South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission decided on May 27 to impose fines and penalties on four public institutions and one contractor for violating the Personal Information Protection Act. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety was sanctioned over multiple leak incidents tied to Government24 services and delayed notification. The Rural Development Administration and affiliated bodies were penalised after a hacker stole about 575,000 records from a contractor’s NAS and posted them on the dark web.
