Waymo service disrupted by San Francisco power outage, highway routes also suspended

Waymo temporarily adjusted operations of its robotaxi service following a power outage in San Francisco. Some users saw notices that the service was “temporarily suspended” and that highway routes were unavailable. The outage was believed to have affected about 7,000 PG&E customers in the city. Waymo said it was monitoring local conditions and would return to normal operations as soon as possible.

iOS 27 beta 3 enables custom Siri voice settings

Apple has released iOS 27 developer beta 3 and activated the new Siri’s custom voice features. Controls for speaking speed and expressiveness, previously shown but disabled in settings, now work and allow five levels of adjustment for each of two Siri voices. The update also revises Apple Intelligence and Siri-related interface elements and may trigger re-downloads of related assets on some devices. Support varies by hardware.
