Nvidia-backed U.S. AI firm Runway to set up European headquarters in London
U.S. AI company Runway will make London its European headquarters and invest more than $200 million in the UK artificial intelligence ecosystem by the end of 2028. CNBC reported that the company plans to expand its European business and research organisation from London. Runway recently raised $315 million in a Series E round that included General Atlantic, AMD Ventures and Nvidia, valuing it at $5.3 billion.

Anthropic-led joint venture buys Fractional AI to step up custom enterprise AI services
An AI services venture jointly funded by Anthropic, Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman has acquired San Francisco-based applied AI services firm Fractional AI, SiliconANGLE reported on May 21. The deal value was not disclosed. The venture is backed by $1.5 billion in total commitments from Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman and Goldman Sachs to help mid-sized companies adopt Claude for core business work.
