Hyundai Motor to roll out range-extended EVs in U.S., starting with Santa Fe
Hyundai Motor will begin a full rollout of range-extended electric vehicles in the United States, starting with the three-row Santa Fe SUV and expanding the lineup. The system runs on battery power while a gasoline engine charges the battery by driving a generator. The strategy also includes luxury brand Genesis, with the GV70 seen as a likely early candidate. Hyundai is also aligning production plans around the United States and broader electrification targets through 2030.
