Altcoin season fails to materialise despite bitcoin ETF outflows; demand concentrates in ETH, XRP, SOL

On a day when more than $120 million left U.S. bitcoin spot ETFs, about $59 million flowed into ETFs tied to ether, XRP and solana. The shift did not translate into broad-based altcoin gains, with BlockchainCenter’s altcoin season index at 37 versus a threshold of 75. Over 30 days, inflows and assets under management remained concentrated in bitcoin, ether, XRP and solana, while smaller altcoin ETFs drew far less.

ChatGPT use raises assignment scores by 0.86 points, universities face task of teaching effective use

Generative AI is becoming a routine study tool, but universities now face the challenge of teaching effective use, OpenAI materials show. A Bocconi University experiment on 1,053 first-year students found those using ChatGPT Edu scored about 0.86 points higher on assignments than a control group. Causal reasoning training did not lift scores but helped students produce more diverse ideas and explain outcomes. Usage rates among South Korean university students have risen sharply.

Apple\'s \'Duo\' is not the first as company makes choice shaped by Microsoft\'s failure

Apple’s first foldable iPhone, unveiled on Sept. 9 local time and named iPhone Duo, is the second foldable smartphone to use the “Duo” name after Microsoft’s Surface Duo. Microsoft avoided a flexible folding screen by linking two 5.6-inch OLED panels, but software problems and other shortcomings hurt the product and it was discontinued. Apple is moving early on developer support and app compatibility ahead of an October full-compatibility rollout.
