Kenya struggles with Microsoft\'s large AI data centre plans over power demand

Cerebras Systems tops $100 billion in market value on Nasdaq debut
Cerebras Systems began trading on Nasdaq well above its IPO price, jumping 68 percent to push its market value past $100 billion. CNBC reported the stock opened at $350 versus an offering price of $185. The company sold 30 million shares to raise $5.55 billion, potentially rising to $6.38 billion if underwriters exercise an option. Cerebras posted 2025 revenue growth and a return to profit but still faces customer-concentration risks.

Lim Moon-young says AI must become a tool for shared human prosperity
Lim Moon-young (임문영), vice chair of the National AI Strategy Committee, attended the World Governments Summit in Dubai from Feb. 2 and shared South Korea’s AI transition strategy and cooperation vision, the committee said. He delivered a keynote on Korea’s democracy and AI transition, calling AI a turning point like the invention of writing. He met UAE officials and executives from Oracle, G42 and the Dubai Future Foundation.
