Denmark crypto ownership stalls at 4 percent

Crypto ownership in Denmark has remained at 4 percent since 2023, lagging major European countries, a report for central bank staff showed. The report pointed to a conservative stance by banks, tax burdens and risk perceptions as constraints on wider adoption. Most holders reported less than 10,000 Danish crowns in crypto. Total national holdings were estimated at $317 million to $847 million, while indirect exposure via crypto-related shares and ETPs totalled $211 million.
