Hecto Healthcare will introduce a new product from its superfood brand Supertable on two home shopping channels. Hecto Healthcare said on Tuesday it will sell "Finland Wild Bilberry NFC 100" through Hyundai Home Shopping.
"Finland Wild Bilberry NFC 100" uses wild bilberries harvested in Finland’s Kvarken Archipelago. The Kvarken Archipelago is an area where crustal uplift after the last ice age can be observed, and it was listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in 2006. Unlike ordinary blueberries, bilberries have a deep purple color in both the skin and the flesh.
A study published in the international academic journal Food Chemistry found the anthocyanin content of wild bilberries is about 5.7 times higher than that of ordinary cultivated blueberries. The product is made using an NFC (Not From Concentrate) method that squeezes fresh fruit as-is without diluting concentrate with water. It contains no additives, preservatives or artificial flavoring, and each serving includes about 53 bilberries.
The product sold out its initial supply during the first broadcast of CJ OnStyle program "Donggage" on July 2. The Hyundai Home Shopping broadcast will offer a limited-time promotion, giving 4 additional boxes for the broadcast (an 8+4 package), and a 10,000 won discount for app purchases. The product is also available on the De Simone Mall, Coupang and Naver Smart Store. Supertable is expanding its lineup based on global natural ingredients with this launch following last year’s "New Zealand Organic Curly Kale 100".
A Hecto Healthcare official said, "After confirming consumers’ positive response during the first CJ OnStyle broadcast, we prepared various benefits so more customers can experience the differentiated value of Finland wild bilberries in this Hyundai Home Shopping broadcast."
