Korea Investment Securities expands global investment products with Fidelity, PIMCO and Carlyle
Korea Investment Securities is partnering with global asset managers including Fidelity International, PIMCO and Carlyle to expand its global investment business, from research to bonds and alternative assets. The company said it will integrate partners’ investment capabilities into its products and services. It signed an MOU with Fidelity in London and separate MOUs with PIMCO and Carlyle in New York, including plans for joint product development and expanded research services.

Wyoming to tighten reserve verification for FRNT stable token with Chainlink integration
The U.S. state of Wyoming will adopt Chainlink’s reserve verification system for its government-issued stable token, Frontier Stable Token, known as FRNT. The Wyoming Stable Token Commission plans to publish on-chain data on FRNT reserves and token supply using Chainlink’s proof-of-reserves function. The state aims to narrow disclosure intervals by combining Chainlink infrastructure with independent checks by The Network Firm. It is also reviewing Chainlink’s Secure Mint feature to limit issuance when reserves are insufficient.

Institutions hold $1.38 billion in short positions amid gains in bitcoin, ether, XRP
Institutional money is maintaining about $1.38 billion in short positions in major cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ether and XRP, but the positioning is seen as hedging and market-neutral trading rather than a direct bet on a decline. After a strong weekly rally and a short squeeze, futures liquidations accelerated. Retail traders suffered losses. Funds also moved into gold, while debt concerns and rising flows into U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs were noted.
