Samsung SDS outlines next-generation finance roadmap using AI at Industry Day event
Samsung SDS on Tuesday held its \'Samsung SDS Industry Day\' seminar for financial-sector clients and outlined a finance innovation strategy centred on generative AI. About 150 IT managers and decision-makers from banks, insurers and securities firms attended. The company presented AI capabilities and examples, including its NexFinance Core 2.0 insurance system solution, development automation using AI code agents, AI agent-based code modernisation, data platform building and Global Development Center collaboration models.

Samsung SDS opens generative AI system for National Assembly to support data-driven parliamentary work
Samsung SDS said on Tuesday it completed the first phase of a project to build the National Assembly Big Data Platform, dubbed AI National Assembly, and officially opened the National Assembly AI legislative support platform. The system is a generative AI service for the National Assembly that supports search, analysis and drafting. Samsung SDS expects data-driven parliamentary work to accelerate as about 5,000 users access data linked with 320 institutions.

Samsung SDS ranks No. 2 in South Korea public cloud market, overtakes Microsoft -IDC
Samsung SDS has risen to second place in South Korea\'s public cloud market, overtaking Microsoft, according to an IDC report. IDC put the 2024 market at 62.37 trillion won in revenue, with Amazon Web Services leading on 22.0 percent. Samsung SDS held 11.3 percent, followed by Microsoft on 9.6 percent, Naver on 5.0 percent and KT on 2.0 percent. Samsung SDS posted the fastest growth among major providers.
