South Korea to cut national R&D administrative forms to 154 from 2,171
South Korea will sharply reduce administrative paperwork tied to national research and development projects and integrate research support systems, aiming to let researchers spend less time on forms and evidence submissions. The Ministry of Science and ICT said a reform plan was approved at a ministerial meeting on May 29. The plan would abolish 1,952 forms, digitise 65 and standardise the rest as 154 permitted forms, while upgrading IRIS and integrating major support systems by 2028.
