Legacy security models cannot stop threats from AI spread; ambient and autonomous agents are the answer
As AI spreads inside companies, security risks are growing, and Microsoft is highlighting “ambient” and “autonomous” as key concepts. Mick Doone (믹 듄), a senior security adviser manager for Asia Pacific, said security must be built into systems from the design stage and operate continuously across identity, endpoints, cloud, data and AI agents. He said prompt and response tampering and agent-connected plugins can become attack paths.

Microsoft to provide end-to-end executable files to drive AI frontier transformation
Microsoft held Microsoft AI Tour Seoul at COEX in Seoul on March 26 and shared a framework for building an “AI frontier” and a support strategy with partners. It outlined steps to accelerate Frontier Transformation in South Korea, focusing on redesigning business operations and sustainable growth. Microsoft introduced Copilot updates with enhanced intelligent agent functions, disclosed global adoption figures, and said it would launch Microsoft 365 E7 on May 1. It also unveiled a Frontier Success Framework.

Microsoft rolls out major security update for AI agents
Microsoft unveiled a broad set of security updates aimed at addressing the spread of AI agents. The update covers agent governance, identity protection, data security, cloud and endpoint defense, and AI-based security operations. A key element is Microsoft Agent 365, due for general release on May 1, which centralises management of AI agents. The company also introduced new visibility tools, expanded identity features, embedded data controls into AI workflows, and accelerated security operations automation.
