Schneider Electric launches ultra-high-capacity cooling unit for AI factories
Schneider Electric said on Jan. 22 it launched its 2.5-megawatt coolant distribution unit, the MCDU-70, which supports expansion beyond 10 megawatts. It said the unit is the highest-capacity model in its MotiveAir CDU portfolio and is designed to meet requirements for next-generation GPUs and gigawatt-class AI factories. The company said six units can be deployed in a 4+2 redundancy configuration and that testing and digital-twin simulations were used to secure reliability.
