Kia sets August U.S. sales record, targets EV mainstreaming with EV3 under $30,000
Kia recorded its best-ever August sales in the United States, selling 83,793 vehicles, up 1 percent from a year earlier. Tesla sweeps U.S.-made rankings with Model 3 and Y as Cybertruck earns top safety grade
Tesla\'s Model 3 and Model Y were named the vehicles with the highest share of U.S. production this year, ranking first and second on Cars.com\'s latest American-Made Index. The Cybertruck was not included in the index, but received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety\'s Top Safety Pick+ rating. Under recent criteria, it was the only full-size pickup to earn that grade and avoided collisions in pedestrian tests.
