SG-FORGE deploys EURCV stablecoin on Stellar blockchain
Societe Generale\'s crypto unit SG-FORGE has deployed its euro-based stablecoin EUR CoinVertible (EURCV) on the Stellar blockchain, Cointelegraph reported on March 10. EURCV is a MiCA-compliant euro token intended for blockchain-based financial applications and asset services. SG-FORGE highlighted Stellar\'s throughput, low fees and support for tokenised assets, and said on-chain trading is possible via Stellar\'s decentralised exchange.

Societe Generale expands euro stablecoin to XRP Ledger, strengthens multichain strategy
Societe Generale\'s digital asset arm SG-FORGE has deployed its euro-based stablecoin, EUR CoinVertible, on the XRP Ledger, Cointelegraph reported. EUR CoinVertible had previously been launched on Ethereum and Solana. Cointelegraph said support from Ripple custody infrastructure increases the likelihood of future integration with Ripple products. SG-FORGE said the move should make it easier for institutions to access euro-based tokens.

SWIFT, SG-Forge test tokenised bond settlement using euro stablecoin
SWIFT completed a test of settling a tokenised bond using Societe Generale’s euro stablecoin, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 15. The project aimed to improve interoperability between traditional finance systems and blockchain-based assets. SG-Forge used the EURCV (EUR CoinVertible) stablecoin to complete exchange and settlement between fiat and digital currency. SG-Forge said EURCV complies with the EU’s MiCA rules and is natively compatible with SWIFT interoperability features.
