Face payment gains traction as Naver Pay, Toss intensify infrastructure race
Competition in offline payment terminals is heating up as face payment draws attention and spreads, prompting Naver Pay and Toss to race to expand merchant networks. Naver Pay\'s Npay Connect tops 100,000 merchants
Naver Pay said its offline integrated terminal, Npay Connect, has surpassed 100,000 merchants nationwide, seven months after its November launch. It added that 52,000 new merchants installed the terminal over the past three months. The company said a post-payment \"keyword review\" feature helped merchants collect reviews, with review counts rising after adoption across sectors. Restaurants account for the largest share of installations, and Seoul and the capital region make up about 43 percent.

KT launches membership benefits spanning dining, shopping, culture for World Cup season
KT said on Sunday it will roll out June customer reward programmes and membership perks covering dining, shopping and cultural events. From June 16 to 30, customers can choose a 50 percent discount on GS25 cup noodles and desserts or a 50 percent discount on all Dunkin items. KT also offers additional deals across brands including VIPS, Baedal Minjok, The Venti, Gong Cha, Burger King and Lotte Cinema, and runs a World Cup-themed shopping promotion through its membership app.
