Court rejects Webzen injunction bid against \'Dragonsword\'; Steam release to proceed as planned
Hound13 said on Wednesday that the Seoul Central District Court rejected Webzen\'s request for a provisional injunction to block the release of \'Dragonsword: Awakening\'. The dispute arose after Webzen failed to pay a minimum guarantee under a publishing contract, after which Hound13 terminated the deal. The court found the termination valid and rejected claims of unauthorised use of translations. The game is set for release on Steam as planned.

Webzen seeks injunction to bar Hound13 from self-publishing DragonSword
Webzen said on Tuesday it filed a lawsuit and applied for a provisional injunction against DragonSword developer Hound13 to bar it from self-publishing. Webzen said Hound13 has been preparing to launch on Steam unilaterally without prior agreement. Webzen said it urged normalisation of domestic game service as publisher, but Hound13 opted to prepare Steam service instead. Webzen said an unauthorised Steam service could cause confusion and lead to additional customer harm.

Webzen says Hound13\'s unilateral termination notice for \'DragonSword\' invalid
Webzen disputed claims by \'DragonSword\' developer Hound13 that their publishing agreement had been terminated. Webzen said the parties were in talks on measures to ensure smooth game service operations, including additional investment, when Hound13 suddenly notified immediate termination without prior corrective request. Webzen said the notice lacked substantive legal requirements and also failed to meet procedural requirements under the publishing contract and Hound13\'s articles of incorporation.
