Alibaba unveils next-generation AI model Qwen 3.5

Alibaba has unveiled its Qwen 3.5 artificial intelligence model, Reuters reported on Feb. 16. The company said the model is designed to perform complex tasks independently and outperforms major U.S. competing models on several benchmarks in performance and cost. Alibaba said Qwen 3.5 is 60 percent cheaper than the previous version and improves large-scale task processing capacity by eight times. It also offers “visual agent” capabilities across mobile and desktop apps.
