KOSPI reclaims 6,000 as 1 trillion won market cap club firms return
South Korea’s stock market has seen most listed companies with market capitalisation above 1 trillion won return as the KOSPI recovered the 6,000 level, after numbers fell during the Middle East war. Exchange data show 377 firms were in the 1 trillion won club as of April 17, including 253 KOSPI and 124 Kosdaq names, with 76 above 10 trillion won. Samsung Electronics remains the largest by value.

Nextrade adjusts trading-eligible stocks to 650 to handle surge in volume
Nextrade said on Feb. 9 it will adjust the number of securities eligible for trading execution to 650 starting Feb. 12 to respond to a surge in trading volume amid a market rally. It said combined average daily trading volume at the Korea Exchange and Nextrade rose about 41 percent from 1.675 billion shares in early January to 2.362 billion shares in late January. The top 50 most-traded stocks will be excluded through end-June.

East Soft steps up rollout of Perso AI Human Station with \'physical AI\' push
East Soft said on Sunday that adoption of its Perso AI Human Station is being rolled out in earnest across workplaces, daily life and leisure spaces. The company said it commercialised the product after three years of R&D to provide real-time interactive AI humans in physical settings. Since June last year, it has been deployed for corporate and facility guidance and in schools. It is also running an ESG campaign with KT.
