AI services company East Soft said on Sunday that adoption of its Perso AI Human Station is being rolled out in earnest across workplaces and throughout daily life and leisure spaces.

The Perso AI Human Station is a product East Soft commercialised after three years of research and development to provide real-time interactive AI human services. It offers a 'physical AI' experience that lets users communicate with AI in physical spaces, including having the AI human greet first without a button being pressed.

Since its commercial launch in June last year, it has been introduced for guidance at a POSCO Holdings in-house technology conference, at Daewoo Engineering & Construction apartment complexes and facilities, for library information at SK hynix's Happy AI Study Lab, and for AI experiential education at Hangaram Elementary School in Paju.

With KT, it is pursuing an ESG campaign that visits teenagers in remote and mountainous areas by equipping an AI human of national soccer team player Lee Kang-in. It detects nearby people's movements through a camera-based object recognition solution and provides guidance suited to the situation.

East Soft CEO Sang-won Jeong (정상원) said, "An era has opened in which AI welcomes people in daily life across private and public spheres." He said, "Based on on-site know-how, we will advance it into an AI solution that spreads across daily life as a whole."
