Rabawave, KAIST cybersecurity research centre develop deepfake prevention technology
Rabawave said on Jan. 23 it jointly developed a deepfake pre-emptive prevention technology with the KAIST Cybersecurity Research Center. The company said the technology goes beyond post-detection and blocks deepfake generation at the source. It said the approach adds fine noise that people cannot notice but that causes generative AI to produce severe errors, resulting in distorted outputs. It said the technology could be used by manufacturers, platforms and public institutions.
