Augment Code unveils semantic coding for AI agents
Augment Code has introduced a “model context protocol” for AI agents and platforms, SiliconANGLE reported on Feb. 6. The company said the update lets AI understand codebases through semantic analysis rather than simple keyword search, improving accuracy. In its own benchmarks, it said performance improved by more than 70 percent when combined with Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. It also said its context engine improved code quality by 30 to 80 percent.
