ServiceNow will revamp its entire product lineup around AI agents, SiliconANGLE said on April 9.

ServiceNow aims to provide an "AI-native architecture" that embeds agent automation across services, platforms and products.

The company said many businesses remain in an experimental phase with AI adoption. Most organisations use hundreds of fragmented applications, with data silos and varying security protocols. As a result, attempts at automation often fail. It said AI may be able to handle chat and summarisation, but to become an AI agent that carries out real work it needs a deep understanding of business-wide context, and that is lacking.

With that in mind, ServiceNow will introduce a "Context Engine". The Context Engine connects tools and applications scattered across an organisation into one, helping AI agents grasp the overall business situation.

It is designed to automatically check regulatory processes and approval procedures before an AI agent makes a decision. The company said it can use Service Graph and Knowledge Graph to understand relationships among apps, asset dependencies and policy controls.

The Context Engine will soon be offered in preview form to some customers. ServiceNow will launch the ServiceNow SDK and "Build Agent Skills" in late April as part of an effort to expand its developer ecosystem. Developers can build applications with third-party tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Cursor and deploy them directly on ServiceNow. ServiceNow security and governance systems will automatically apply to deployed applications.

ServiceNow will also launch "Enterprise Service Management Foundation" for small and medium-sized businesses. Enterprise Service Management Foundation supports smaller firms in easily adopting AI agents that help automate IT, human resources and legal services.

Amit Zavery (아밋 자베리), president and chief product officer at ServiceNow, said, "We provide everything by default so customers can start with a complete AI-native experience across all products and packages."
