Sam Altman says AI-driven job market upheaval unlikely, \'glad I was wrong\'
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the job displacement he feared from artificial intelligence has not become reality. Speaking by video at a Commonwealth Bank of Australia event in Sydney in May, he said he expected entry-level office jobs to have fallen more sharply by now, but that did not happen. Altman cited his own attempt to use AI for messages and emails, and said workplaces still rely on trust, relationships, judgement and accountability.
