Cisco in talks to buy AI agent security startup Astrix
Cisco Systems is in talks to acquire Israeli AI agent security startup Astrix Security, The Information reported on Thursday. The deal is valued at about $250 million to $350 million, The Information said, citing sources familiar with the matter. Astrix sells software that monitors AI agents and strengthens security. The talks are ongoing and may not result in an agreement.

U.S., Japan, Korea NAND group to invest 3.5 trillion won in Taiwan\'s Nanya Tech to secure DRAM
A DRAM shortage driven by surging AI demand is leading NAND makers to invest directly in DRAM producers to lock in supply. Taiwan\'s Nanya Technology raised about $2.5 billion in a private placement from SanDisk Technologies, Solidigm, Cisco Systems and Kioxia. SanDisk and Kioxia also signed long-term DRAM supply agreements with Nanya. Nanya plans to use the funds for advanced DRAM plant facilities and equipment.

Michael Burry warns of Nvidia bubble, likens it to Cisco during dotcom era
Michael Burry, known as the real-life figure behind the film The Big Short, strengthened his pessimistic outlook on Nvidia after the company became the world’s largest and again topped results. He cited Nvidia’s purchase commitments rising to $9.52 billion in a year and total supply obligations nearing $11.7 billion, close to annual operating cash flow. Burry compared it to Cisco’s dotcom-era inventory losses.
