Science ministry unveils physical AI integrated platform at KAIST

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT on March 23 unveiled a \"physical AI integrated platform\" at KAIST and presented a strategy to secure key capabilities. The KAIST demonstration lab is an integrated testbed that implements full factory operations solutions using only domestic technologies, from sensors and controllers to robots and AI data infrastructure. The core is an AI \"factory manager\" agent that optimises logistics and schedules in real time.

Science ministry checks results of Physical AI demonstration lab at Chonbuk National University

South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT is pushing a regional manufacturing growth strategy through Physical AI-based manufacturing innovation. Minister Bae Kyung-hoon visited Chonbuk National University on Jan. 26 to review results from a pre-verification programme and discuss ways to expand adoption and promote regional AX projects. The ministry and NIPA built demonstration labs at Chonbuk National University and KAIST to test on-site applicability, applying technologies such as AMR logistics automation and machine tending.
