Anthropic accelerates enterprise AI push with business-focused pricing
Anthropic, which develops the AI chatbot Claude, is accelerating a strategy focused on the enterprise market to differentiate itself from OpenAI and Google. It has boosted annualised revenue by concentrating on selling APIs that plug into corporate workflows and on its coding AI, Claude Code. Annualised revenue rose from $100 million in January 2024 to $1 billion in January 2025 and $14 billion in January 2026. Its pricing is also geared toward businesses and developers.

AI price war begins as physical AI market expands
Price competition among major AI companies is intensifying as providers introduce lower-priced chatbot subscriptions aimed at reducing barriers for free users to switch to paid plans. OpenAI expanded its ad-supported ChatGPT Go plan beyond India, and Google launched a $7.99 monthly Google AI Plus plan globally. Separately, companies are speeding efforts to apply physical AI in manufacturing, while startups and enterprises pursue funding, partnerships and product rollouts across robotics, automation and AI platforms.

Google expands budget AI plans as AI Plus counters ChatGPT Go
Google is launching its $7.99-a-month Google AI Plus plan in all markets, including the United States, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 27. The plan includes Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Flow AI film-making tools and NotebookLM research support, along with 200GB of storage and sharing for up to five family members. Existing 2TB Google One Premium subscribers get AI Plus automatically. India pricing is 399 rupees, and new users get a two-month 50 percent discount.
