Samsung Electronics posts loss at smartphone and TV units as memory prices rise
Samsung Electronics\' DS division posted 89.2 trillion won in second-quarter sales, while its DX division logged an operating loss of 800 billion won as higher memory prices lifted costs for device businesses. Executives said DRAM and NAND average selling prices rose sharply from the previous quarter, hurting profitability at the MX unit. The company plans to adjust its sales mix and improve resource efficiency, but offered no plan to cut costs. Executives also cited uncertainty and weaker demand outlooks.

Dlive boosts B2B, advertising push with FAST service DIVA
Dlive is stepping up its push into business-to-business deals and the advertising market, citing rapid traffic growth for its ad-supported free streaming TV (FAST) service DIVA. The company said DIVA traffic and ad exposure rose 70-fold and 16-fold, respectively, from May last year. It plans to expand B2B partnerships across areas such as in-vehicle infotainment, TVs made by small manufacturers and accommodation venues, while increasing channels to at least 50.

Moloco launches Performance CTV to help measure connected TV app marketing
AI advertising solutions firm Moloco said on May 11 it will launch Moloco Ads for Performance CTV. The company said the product will allow app marketers to run performance advertising that drives app downloads and user engagement in home TV viewing environments, where precise performance measurement has been difficult. It said the offering supports access to household-level CTV inventory, transparent performance reporting via MMP integration, and optimisation on an open platform not reliant on proprietary inventory or audience data.
