SK Shieldus EQST competes at DEF CON 34, ranks fifth in AI CTF
SK Shieldus said on Sunday its white-hat hacker group EQST ranked fifth out of more than 200 teams in a Capture The Flag competition held at the AI Village during the DEF CON 34 hacking and security conference in Las Vegas. The company said EQST was the only participating team from South Korea to finish in the top five. EQST also took part in the DEF CON 34 CTF finals.

South Korean white-hat hackers place second and third at Defcon CTF
South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency said on Aug. 10 that South Korean team 0x4b52 and South Korea-U.S. joint team SuperDiceCodeLovers placed second and third at the Defcon CTF 34 finals held in Las Vegas from Aug. 6 to 9. A total of 686 teams entered the online qualifiers, with 12 advancing to the finals, including six from South Korea.

Wrtn sponsors ColdFusion team reaching DEF CON 34 CTF finals
Wrtn Technologies said on Tuesday it will officially sponsor the ColdFusion team, which has advanced to the finals of the international hacking competition DEF CON 34 CTF. The finals will be held on Aug. 6 in Las Vegas. ColdFusion placed third in a 48-hour online qualifier involving 686 teams worldwide, earning a spot among the top 12 finalists. Wrtn will provide product credits and uniforms.
