ECB urgently calls euro zone banks to discuss \'Mythos shock\'

The European Central Bank has urgently convened euro zone banks to review cyber risks triggered by Anthropic\'s advanced AI model Claude Mythos. DeepSeek V4 Pro nears GPT-5-level performance, rated best Chinese AI model

DeepSeek’s latest model, DeepSeek V4 Pro, is about 8 months behind top U.S. AI models, a U.S. government-affiliated assessment showed. The AI Standards and Innovation Center under NIST said it delivered the highest performance among Chinese AI models, scoring about 200 points above Kimi K2.5. CAISI also rated it more cost-efficient than comparable models, outperforming OpenAI’s GPT-5.4 Mini on 5 of 7 benchmarks.

UK AI Safety Institute warns GPT-5.5 cyber threat matches Mythos

Britain\'s AI Safety Institute warned that OpenAI\'s GPT-5.5 showed strong cyberattack capabilities in controlled research tests, including a 71.4 percent success rate on top-level tasks in a CTF evaluation. In a cyber range simulation, it achieved full autonomous success in 2 of 10 attempts. The institute said progress in reasoning and autonomy could lift capabilities across models soon.
