Britain\'s Financial Conduct Authority is reviewing whether to avoid applying existing fund rules to tokenised gold and instead create a separate regulatory framework. The FCA has started gathering industry views on whether tokenised gold can improve efficiency in trading, transfer, collateralisation and custody, and highlighted uncertainty over whether it falls under collective investment scheme or alternative investment fund rules. It may issue guidance or establish a dedicated regime, but no final decision has been made.

Korea\'s Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said it will work with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to spread ICT standards and strengthen capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region. TTA said it adopted a joint declaration with the ITU at an ITU regional development forum in Bangkok. The declaration focuses on standardisation and human capacity building, including expanded expert participation, stronger exchanges, and sharing experience and best practices to promote use of ITU standards.
