TSMC July sales hit $14.5 billion, up 44.7 percent year on year
TSMC\'s July sales were tallied at $14.5 billion, up 44.7 percent from a year earlier. It said July revenue was 467.58 billion Taiwan dollars. The results show AI hardware orders continue to fill TSMC\'s production lines. In the second quarter, high-performance computing accounted for 66 percent of revenue. Chairman C.C. Wei said AI-related demand remains very strong, and the company raised its annual capex budget to $60 billion to $64 billion.

Russia stages \'humanoid robot wedding\' with AI vows and bracelet exchange
Russia held a demonstration of the country’s first humanoid robot wedding at the Pushkin Library in Moscow, designed to publicise its humanoid-robot development capabilities. Two robots made by IT-Imperial, Robert and Matilda, exchanged AI-generated vows and swapped bracelets instead of rings. The event had no legal status. Jensen Huang says TSMC capacity to double over next 10 years
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said Taiwan’s TSMC will increase production capacity by more than 100 percent over the next 10 years, describing it as a significant expansion. He said demand is very high this year and that TSMC must work hard because he needs many wafers. TSMC Chairman C.C. Wei did not answer questions. Huang dismissed reports he criticised OpenAI and said Nvidia will participate in OpenAI’s current funding round.
