Nvidia backs GPU collateral in bid to draw up to $500 billion for AI data centres

Nvidia has introduced a financing structure aimed at drawing up to $500 billion for building AI data centres, while directly guaranteeing part of the value of its GPUs used as collateral. Under the plan, if pledged GPUs are liquidated after a default and their value falls short of expectations, Nvidia would cover up to 25 percent of the gap. The company says most funding and risk sit with external lenders.
