Ripple veteran developer and XRP Ledger designer David Schwartz criticised Bitcoin Knots for describing a recent chain split as an attack on the Bitcoin network after a failed attempt to activate BIP-110. Some nodes that enforced the proposal continued applying its rules and split from the main Bitcoin chain backed by most miners. Michael Saylor, chairman of Strategy, compared Bitcoin’s consensus rules to a constitution and argued that attempts to rewrite them infringe users’ economic rights.
