Tennessee bans cryptocurrency ATMs statewide after Indiana
Tennessee has banned the installation and operation of cryptocurrency ATMs across the state, making both operators and businesses that allow the machines subject to penalties. Governor Bill Lee signed House Bill 2505 on April 13. Violations are classified as a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in jail and a $2,500 fine. Tennessee becomes the second U.S. state, after Indiana, to impose a statewide ban.
