Cardano jumps as bitcoin trades sideways, hits five-month high
Cardano\'s ADA token rose as much as 12 percent to $0.27, its highest level in five months, as bitcoin and ether showed little movement. The jump coincided with expectations for network expansion and new service launches, including the RealFi RWA tokenisation platform and USDr stablecoin integrations. Founder Charles Hoskinson posted a chart and the hashtag #LeiosIsComing, boosting expectations for the Linear Leios upgrade. Data suggested throughput gains in tests, but short-covering and limited inflows were also cited.

G7 urges rapid preparations for quantum computing threat; bitcoin, ethereum also on alert
A G7 cybersecurity working group urged governments and companies to immediately begin shifting to post-quantum cryptography, warning that technology threatening existing public-key systems is advancing faster than expected. It highlighted the risk of attacks that harvest encrypted data now and decrypt it later. The EU has set timelines for migration. Bitcoin is considering BIP-360, while Ethereum plans broader upgrades. Larger post-quantum signatures could raise storage, bandwidth and transaction costs.

Ethereum 65 percent, Solana 100 percent vulnerable to quantum attacks as \'Q-day\' shock looms
Ethereum and Solana face significant security risks in a future era of quantum computers, an analysis said. Quantum security group Project Eleven assessed that about 65 percent of Ethereum and virtually all of Solana are vulnerable to quantum attacks that could undermine public-key cryptography. It cited risks to Ethereum validator keys and Solana addresses that embed public keys. The Ethereum Foundation and Solana ecosystem developers are preparing post-quantum upgrades, with timelines extending into the next decade.
