OECD business groups: 60 percent see downturn continuing in first half, sharp contraction view plunges to 0.6 percent
A survey of business groups in OECD member countries showed 59.6 percent expect the global downturn to continue in the first half of this year, while 39.8 percent see moderate growth. Only 0.6 percent forecast a sharp contraction, down from 49.5 percent in the outlook for the second half of last year. Investment expectations swung to an increase, though rising inflation could constrain spending, the Korea Enterprises Federation said.
