Payward to work with Franklin Templeton on tokenised financial products
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, will work with asset manager Franklin Templeton to develop tokenised financial products for institutional investors, CoinDesk reported on May 12. The companies plan blockchain-based offerings including tokenised yield products, tokenised stocks and digital-asset-linked custody services. They will also consider launching actively managed tokenised products tradable on-chain, accessible to institutions and, in some regions, Kraken retail users. Kraken plans to integrate Franklin Templeton\'s tokenised money market fund lineup BENJI.

X hints at expanding crypto features, raising expectations of BTC payments and wallet integration
X may launch new crypto-related features after its head of product, Nikita Bier, wrote that the crypto market has had a tough year and that X may need to launch something to fix it. No official announcement has been made. Users on X floated ideas including instant bitcoin trading, stablecoin creator payouts, payments and wallet integration. Flow Traders enters tokenised asset market via 24-hour OTC platform
Crypto market-making firm Flow Traders is entering the tokenised asset market through a 24-hour over-the-counter trading platform, The Block reported on March 19. The platform supports trading in tokenised money market funds, stocks and commodities, and provides two-way liquidity for assets including Franklin Templeton\'s onchain money market fund BENJI and Tether Gold. It is limited to pre-vetted institutional investors that complete onboarding and KYC procedures.
