Solana Foundation president says blockchain gaming is over
Solana Foundation President Lily Liu said publicly that gaming on a blockchain is not coming back. TheBlock reported that if she is right, billions of dollars poured into the sector could rank among the industry’s worst investments. Liu made the remark after a Polymarket post claimed Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, was exiting the metaverse business. Critics say blockchain games leaned on token payouts instead of gameplay.
