NHN shifts game strategy to Japan, targets growth in cloud, payments and defense
NHN is adjusting its game business strategy to target Japan and laid out plans to secure new growth engines in cloud, payments and defense. CEO Jung Woo-jin said the company is preparing a strategy change and pursuing contracts with well-known IPs in Japan and projects under code names. Blockchain expands into deep space as Avalanche launches network to verify observation data
Blockchain technology is expanding from finance into scientific data verification, as SkyMapper builds a dedicated Avalanche-based network to validate telescope observation data in real time. The system records and preserves data with checks for tampering through a mechanism called Proof of Space Observation. Observation data are cryptographically signed at the moment of capture, stored across a distributed network and fingerprinted on the Avalanche blockchain for later verification. Smart contracts also manage access controls, keeping sensitive government or defence data private while sharing research data.

Animoca invests in Ava Labs to support Avalanche expansion in Asia and Middle East
Animoca Brands has entered a strategic partnership with Ava Labs to expand the Avalanche blockchain, Cointelegraph reported on March 19. The collaboration targets the Asia and Middle East markets, with a focus on strengthening real-world asset tokenisation, digital identity and entertainment. Animoca plans to provide capital and consulting to Avalanche-based projects and use its regional network to support business expansion, including links to institution- and government-backed projects.
