Smilegate Hope Studio named star public-interest corporation for 2026
Smilegate Hope Studio said on Wednesday it has been selected as a 2026 star public-interest corporation after receiving a three-star rating, the highest score, across transparency, accountability and financial efficiency in Korea GuideStar’s evaluation. It said it was the only organisation in the games industry to earn perfect scores in all categories for three straight years. The evaluation uses 10 indicators covering transparency and accountability, and financial efficiency.

MSIT launches 2026 K-Global Project, holds briefing session
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Monday it held an integrated briefing session for the K-Global Project in Seoul. The K-Global Project is an integrated support system that brings together AI and digital innovation business support programmes scattered across the public and private sectors under a single brand. The ministry said investment raised by participating firms rose 63 percent year on year by the third quarter of 2025, while jobs and patent filings also increased.
