Privacy could be crypto\'s next \'killer app\' as Ark, Canton, Tempo funding tops $1 billion

Combined fundraising by blockchain projects Ark, Canton and Tempo, which focus on stablecoins and tokenisation, has topped $1 billion. Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan (맷 호건) said institutional demand for privacy-focused crypto infrastructure is rising. Circle raised $222 million for Ark at a $3 billion valuation, while Digital Asset is raising $300 million for Canton at $2 billion and Tempo earlier raised $500 million at $5 billion.

Nexon Q1 operating profit jumps 40 percent on MapleStory, Ark Raiders success

Nexon said it achieved its best-ever quarterly results on the back of global success for the MapleStory franchise and Ark Raiders. The company posted first-quarter consolidated revenue of 1.42 trillion won and operating profit of 542.6 billion won, up 34 percent and 40 percent from a year earlier. Overseas revenue rose 59 percent. Nexon provided second-quarter revenue and profit guidance and outlined partnerships and upcoming game launches.

An analysis said 2 to 5 bitcoin may be needed to fund retirement around 2030, depending on price scenarios and withdrawal rates. BeInCrypto reported that institutional participation is boosting optimism but volatility risks remain. VanEck outlined a base scenario of $1 million by 2031, while other forecasts ranged from $120,000 to $250,000 by end-2026. Models using 4 percent and 6 to 8 percent withdrawal rates produced differing BTC requirements.
