Anthropic says 26 percent of AI R&D work is done by Claude, runs 30,000 internal agents
Anthropic disclosed metrics showing how deeply its AI model is used in its own AI research and development. As of August 2026, 26 percent of its R&D work reached level 4 on its internal automation index, a stage where AI performs most tasks with humans setting broad direction. It also said about 30,000 AI agents run simultaneously on an internal platform, with monitoring before and after execution.
