LG, UNESCO launch AI ethics online education program
LG AI Research and UNESCO on Sunday held a global launch event in Seoul for the AI Ethics MOOC project and released a free online course. The programme is based on UNESCO\'s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and targets AI experts, researchers and policymakers worldwide. Delivered in 10 modules with participation from global institutions and regional experts, it is offered through Coursera. The partners plan to expand it into a training programme and broaden it to universities in South Korea.

IrisGo unveils AI desktop agent, seeks preinstallation deals with PC makers
Proactive AI systems that anticipate and handle user needs before they are recognised are drawing attention in the AI industry, TechCrunch reported. IrisGo is one of the startups in the field and raised $2.8 million in a seed round led by Andrew Ng’s AI Fund. The company is developing a desktop companion app for PCs that learns users’ workflows and runs tasks automatically. It has launched a macOS and Windows beta and is seeking preinstallation deals, including with Acer.

Meta\'s open-source Llama effectively abandoned; what are developers\' alternatives?
Meta has effectively halted development of its open-source AI model Llama and shifted strategy to the proprietary Muse Spark model, The News Stack reported. Meta said it will keep providing existing Llama models as open source, but did not mention future development. Muse Spark was built from scratch on different infrastructure and is cloud-only, with no weight downloads or self-hosting. Llama had about 1.2 billion downloads a year ago.
