Belarus approves first cryptocurrency bank, formalising bitcoin finance
Belarus has begun the launch process for its first cryptocurrency bank, which will start operations after approval from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The move follows a legal framework introduced earlier this year and a January decree signed by President Alexander Lukashenko on crypto banks and digital tokens. The list of banks has not been disclosed. Oversight will be shared by the High-Tech Park and the central bank.
